Documents Verification at MKBU
After the Merit List has been released, the selected candidates will have to physically visit the MKBU for the document verification. In the document verification process, candidates are required to carry the documents below on the day of reporting to the college.
- Marksheet of the degree examination of the university
- Certificate of University Degree Examination (if any)
- School Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate
- Caste Certificate
- Non Creamy layer Certificate Issued on or After 1 st April 2021
- Gap certificate original (if applicable)
- Passport size photograph (2 copies)

Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University, formerly Bhavnagar University is a state university located in Bhavnagar city in the western province of Gujarat, India. The university provides teaching and research programs in Arts, Commerce, Science, Medicine, Management, Rural Studies and Law Faculties.
107 colleges are affiliated with Bhavnagar University. University provides teaching with 22 departments, 60 Postgraduate centres, 30 Diploma course-centers and 05 recognized institutes and research centres.
Bhavnagar was the first princely state to merge with the Union of India at the time of independence in 1947 by Maharaja Raol Shri Krishnakumar Sinhji Gohil. Bhavnagar University came into being on 24 May 1979. Its land-estate area is 269 acres.

How does MKBU Merit List 2023 is Prepared?
Candidates who have applied as per the rules proposed by the Admissions Committee and within the stipulated time and are eligible for admission. Their merit list will be prepared as follows.
- Merit will be prepared keeping in view the total marks of External for Semester 5 and 6 obtained in the graduation examination passed by the candidate from any university recognized by UGC and MKBU and merit will have to be calculated on the basis of TY marks in the annual system.
- The merit of the candidates who have the same merit marks will be prepared according to the following procedure. (1) Total marks of SY / Semester- 3 & 4 (2) Total marks of FY / Semester-1 & 2 (3) Date of birth (3) First name as per English Alphabet. Grace Marks / gracing will not be considered in merit.
- Prioritize Fresh/ New Students for Merit. And then will be included in the merit according to the year of passing.
